Michael Havelin has been involved with photography for many years. An RIT graduate, he's a member of Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, and Mensa. His work has been widely published in numerous books and magazines, as well as in Shooter's Rag, a how-to photo magazine which he edited and published. He is the author of two books, Photography for Writers and Practical Manual of Captive Animal Photography.

Havelin holds a valid U.S. passport and is available for assignment work in a variety of film formats.
